Yakaza Ensemble: İçbükeydış [A.K. Müzik, 2012]

Οι Yakaza Ensemble…

‘The İstanbul based Turkish band was formed in 2006 by Eray Düzgünsoy and Fakih Kademoğlu. After Ceren Erendor and Ömer Sarıgedik joined the band, Yakaza Ensemble gave numerous concerts in Turkey and abroad. The band’s first album A’mak-ı Hayal was released in october 2010 by A.K. Music İstanbul. Days after the release, the band performed at Ruhrtriennale in Bochum Germany and the Balkan World Music Festival at Pecs Hungary, which was one of the cities announced as European Capital of Culture for this year. In March 2012 the band released their second album Yakaza Ensemble Meets Syunoven in Japan by the label Crosspoints – Proception under the production of Takeshige Miyawaki. This release was followed by the RMX EP of the 1st song of the new album which includes 3 remixes by well known Japanese Djs. The band uses many instruments from various regions of the world plus electronics to create it’s distinct musical alchemy from the motive of “oneness in essence” in a musicology based attitude.’
